Raised in the Priorat steep hills, and with a combination of multicultural European family origins, Luca graduated in Oenology at the ENSAT of Toulouse and followed a MS at the University of Bordeaux focused on Environment and Viticulture. After Professional experiences in France, Italy and Spain as winemaker he was hired as technical manager for Francois Lurton’s Chilean estate and subsequently was managing also the Argentinian project, successfully converting both to organic and biodynamic Viticulture. Strong of this 7 year experience -and after a world tour- he founded in Chile with oenologist JM Sotomayor the company Wildmakers that started off as consultant of small scale high-end natural wines. Wildmakers evolved and also started elaborating low-intervention wines as per 2014 under the same brand. Meanwhile he kicked off his family project in the Priorat (Hodgkinson- Mas del Habanero) that had for too long been waiting. Involved also in his own organic bulk wine project he accounts now for 20 years of winemaking experience in both hemispheres focused in low-intervention winemaking and organic viticulture.
